Is there justice in the USA ?

Is there justice in the USA ?

Is there justice in the United States as they say? Someone (Troy Davis) kills a police officer and he is sentenced to death, but a police officer kills someone (Amadou Diall) and he walks away as a hero.
------------- WHAT SAY YOU ??????

  1. Justice is based on how one perceives it in this world. As for the second part of your sentence, I think it is situational. I don't know the full details on it but there will always be controversy and opinions from all different sides.

Speaking of justice, I stumbled upon a really disturbing video on how a Judge beats on his daughter for playing video games on the computer. It wasn't even until a few years later that this video has surfaced, meaning this child held onto this abuse in secrecy for years. Justice can be judged by the people when the situation is presented to them, but I'm sure there are plenty of situations where it has just been hiding in the dark, waiting to be surfaced.

  2. Jonathan i appreciate you sharing you thought on this issue. I agree with you that sometimes it might be based on the situation. In Troy’s case it seems to be debatable, but if you could read about Diallo’s case you will find that the police officers intended to kill him. They shot an armless person with 46 bullets. I don’t think this is a coincidence.

  3. I guess it depends on the situation to determine justice in America. I know that they have innocent people in jail for no reason because someone lied and said they did it.. Most importantly, life is not fair and they will always be something that will stand in your way..
Not to get off the topic but it depends on the situation...

  4. There definitely seems to be a double standard. Officers are often protected even when they are blatantly in tnhe wrong. I don't think it is necessary to shoot 41 times at an unarmed person. Even if the threat was there, if the person doesn't shoot back, why the need for 41 shots?
